Fall 2019 I entered one of the harder mental stages of my life. I dropped out of WWU and had no plan for myself. Over Thanksgiving, my aunt (a professor at Minnesota State University Moorhead) reached out to me with an Education Internship opportunity at the Red River Zoo. I applied, having no background in education, zoology, biology, or animal sciences.
I got the internship.
In the winter of 2020, I moved to Moorhead, Minnesota to start at the Red River Zoo as their Education Intern. I worked with the education animals (reptiles, amphibians, birds, bugs, and tarantulas!) and with kids in the education programs.
At the end of my internship, I had to create my own program collection plan for the Education Internship. Read below or download to read my write up!
